It signifies the start of the spring season with the blooming yellow mustard flowers in the fields typically in the month of February. People celebrate it with yellow themed attire, lively music and parties, a delicious variety of food, and specially by organizing kite flying arrangements on the rooftops of their homes in Lahore and its surroundings.
